I haven't updated here in a while. :P Anyways, I did some poetry this afternoon. Hope you all enjoy!

( The Song Of Nature )

So, I got some homework today that will prevent me from writing as much as I'd like for Nano, to the point where I've decided not to push Nano. I've already got almost 40k words, which is more than I've ever expected from a story of mine and I'm very happy with that so far. But I want to keep on writing and giving you guys stuff to read, so here's my plan.

Instead of just writing when I feel like it and sometimes having you guys wait weeks to see a story part, I'm going to update on Mondays and Fridays with at least 2,500 words each. That's 5,000 words a week, which I think is quite modest for me and keeps my writing juices flowing, but isn't too much to burden myself. (That's about 1.5-2 hours of writing per block, so about 3-4 hours of writing a week.)

Every 3rd to 5th writing point (so about 2-3 times a month) I'll go back to a previously written section of story (although not necessarily the beginning) and make edits/improvements, and repost the editted variation. I will keep a TOC for each so people can see the progress and so I don't forget where the originals are! :P This way I can implement suggestions people give me, especially those by viridianphoenix.

Sometimes, I might do original writing work on different things instead of working on "Home". Just to vary it up a bit. :)

It's been a while since my last update, and I apologize to all of you who have been waiting so eagerly for the next installment of the story. I plan to spend most of today writing, and while I still have a long way to go (I intend to make it to 35,000 words tonight) I figured I could give you an update of what I've written so far this morning.

Holy cow. My day has been filled with writing and here you all go! This is the start of the story I've titled "Home". It's a fantasy novel about Zyleeth and Rida. It's been quite a trip, two hours of writing this morning and another four of intermittent writing has led me to today's end goal: 10,158 words!

Here's the progress of about 3 hours of work this afternoon. Ringing in at just over 4100 words, I call it "First Meetings". I'm happy with the beginning but during the battle and after-battle scenes I'm not entirely happy with the dialog so those whom are involved in the story, I'd love input on how to make it more realistic and more like your selves. Anyways, enough of my writer's stuff, I hope you enjoy the story off ( First Meetings )

I'm not terribly happy about the ending, but I know I can make it better with a bit of feedback, and there will be more to this story this weekend if I have my way! Enjoy!

All right, the very first story in this journal. I figure I'll start this off with one of my very first, original pieces. I wrote this... gods. Probably '03 or '04, I'm thinking. It's where I first started transitioning from poetry to stories, and you can really tell in this I like reoccuring themes. So without further ado, I introduce you to ( The Bell Tower ).
